How am I not fatter?

This weekend I am going to a party with a crescent roll theme and a beer-tasting party where bacon-wrapped bratwursts are being served.

Seriously, I do not always make good food choices.

And my eating/drinking habits are only made worse by the fact that, unlike people who might eat less food in preparation for a big, unhealthy meal, I try to compensate for binging by eating more.

You know, to balance things out.

Now, it's not quite as bad as my friend's boyfriend who balances pasta with bread. However, the fact that I know I'll be gorging myself is giving me the urge to eat a bunch of fruits and vegetables after work.

As if they cancel each other out instead of adding more net calories to my day.

Though I suppose it IS a good idea to eat some things that have some actual nutritional value. The crescent roll party is going to cover the grain, meat, dairy and fats sections of the food pyramids, but it would all collapse without the fruits and veggies, wouldn't it? So perhaps I'm not TOTALLY insane.

But yeah, I have food issues.
