When I heard my roommate come in around 3:00 this morning, I knew there would be a story. Mostly because of all the crashing and stumbling going on.
I was not disappointed.
Now, I'm sure this story would be better if he remembered how each event of the night led to the other, but him trying to piece that together this morning was pretty amusing.
It seems that he was at his friend's party, then things got a little fuzzy and he woke up outdoors around 2:00 a.m. He was missing his phone and one of his shoes.
Somehow, he managed to get back into his friend's apartment building, only to discover that the party had ended and everyone had been wondering what happened to him. (Not that he was able to tell them; he wasn't sure either).
He was more concerned about his missing shoe and phone, which his friend eventually found in different places in the stairwell. It appeared Kurth may have taken a tumble down the stairs, but there's really no way of knowing.
With his shoe and phone, he then set out to get a cab; however, it being Halloween, a Friday night, and bar time, there were no cabs to be had.. He then decided to WALK home from Loring Park. Yeah . . . not really walking distance from our apartment. Not even for a sober person, which he was not.
Finally, he got a cab near the Uptown Diner, got home, passed out, and had to get up this morning to meet his family at a wedding two and a half hours away. I'm reasonably sure he was still drunk when he got up, so I'm really interested in hearing about how it goes.

As am I. (interested to hear about how the wedding actually went, and how many times he ralphed on the way there.)
Great story!
These are my favorite kind: stories with elements missing like a disappearing shoe :)
